Boulder River Report 5/18/2020

Boulder 5/18: Warmer weather has spiked the flows and added color. The tributaries like the east and west forks are dumping in off color water, so it’s best to fish the upper river now. Caddis should still be showing up by the early afternoons on warmer days, so be ready to fish them. With flows starting to rise and get off color, fish bigger rubber leg patterns or a San Juan Worm. In deeper runs strip a darker body color streamer. Runoff is likely here to stay.
