Boulder River Report 5/25/2020

Boulder 5/25: After dropping and clearing a bit, warmer weather this week will likely spike the flows again as well as adding color. The tributaries like the east and west forks usually dump in off color water, so it’s best to fish the upper river now. Caddis may still be showing up by the early afternoons on warmer days up higher, so be ready to fish them. With flows starting to rise and get off color, fish bigger rubber leg patterns or a San Juan Worm. In deeper runs strip a darker body color streamer. Runoff is likely here to stay.
