[ARCHIVE] Yellowstone River Report 07/17/2017
The Yellowstone River has dropped significantly and is starting to clear. It’s still a few days away from good fishing conditions, but some anglers have been fishing it and doing well with dark color streamers. Rubber leg nymphs like a girdle bug drifted along the bank water have been working too.
As it starts to come around, look to fish the big dry and dropper nymph. Start throwing hopper and large dry fly patterns like Chubby Chernobyls, Jack Cabe, PMXs, Yeti Hoppers and Yellowstoner Chubbys.
As always, give us a call, email or stop by the shop for an update on current conditions.
